RepTrac started after watching field marketing teams try to run relationship-based businesses out of spreadsheets. Reps were driving from clinic to clinic, managing referrals and rotation cadences in their heads, and filling in a Google Sheet at the end of the week if they had time.
We had worked in field operations before. We knew the tools that existed — big CRMs built for desk-bound enterprise sales, half- adopted by teams whose reps don't live at a desk. We also knew what happened when those tools didn't fit: managers lost visibility, reps resented the data entry, and relationships quietly decayed.
